2024 Spring Show Report

Church Crookham and Fleet Garden Society Spring Show : 23rd March 2024

Church Crookham and Fleet Garden Society held their Spring Flower Show on the 23rd March. It was well attended, giving both members and non-members the opportunity to show off their daffodils, spring flowers, pot plants, floral art, photography and baking skills.

The Ian Watson Spring Cup was won by Gillian Rose for the most points overall, with a superb score of 64 points. Sue Grant and Margaret Edwards were joint second with 32 points, and Jo Wilson in 3rd place with 22 points. All the entries were of great quality and made the judging very difficult.

The Richard Constantine Cup for the best pot plant went to Sue Grant, who had two pot plants in contention for winning this top prize.

Well done to all the juniors who entered, especially with the drawing class entries coming from the Fleet Greening launch, at The Views. All the children’s entries received a well deserved rosette

Thank you to all those who came along and took part in this show. There is always room for new entries and the Show encourages novices to have a go. The teas and coffees were well deserved, and everyone was pleased to be inside when the rain poured down outside. Alec Grant our Chairman concluded with the raffle and a date for the diary which is Saturday 17th August, for the Summer Show.

We look forward to seeing you there.
