2nd April 2025

Well, what a start to April, all this glorious sunshine to enjoy. Spring has sprung into all its amazing
technicolour glory.
Firstly, thank you to all those who helped at the Spring show in early March. It went very well and
was enjoyed by everyone. If any containers need returning, please drop them back at the shed,
when you can. Thank you also to those who have helped at the shed this year. Without you we
would struggle to open on a weekly basis. If you have not been involved so far, please do consider
joining the committee or helping out. Contact Jill@just2.me.uk Jill runs the Trading shed and is
always in need of volunteers to fill the spaces.
Last Saturday was especially busy at the Trading shed, as we had children drop by to make up a
posy of flowers for Mother’s Day. There were some very happy children who chose their flowers,
wrapped them up and tied with a ribbon. A super effort from all of them.
We will soon be moving over to the new membership list, so please make sure your membership is
renewed for this year. We don’t want people missing out. The society is welcoming many new members,
which is lovely to see. It is good to know people still care about their gardens and appreciate the
Garden Society and its Trading shed.
Keep checking the website for updates and articles. Soon there will be a very useful one on
moving over to peat free compost. Along with a little quiz, to keep those brain cells working.
