A popular annual event for members is a visit to Wisley.
This trip normally free for paid up Church Crookham and Fleet Garden Society members. Cost of entry for non members is currently £18.50 for adults and £8.25 for children so it’s worth joining the society, which in 2024 is £5. for adult membership and free for children. Should you know of anyone who would like to join the 2024 trip, who isn’t already a member, then please let the secretary know. People can join the society through visiting the trading shed which is open for business on Saturday mornings throughout the growing season.
As well as all the usual garden attractions, the new RHS orchid glass house is worth a visit. For children there is a ‘spooky’ garden trail, a craft activity, seed planting and a ‘Wonky Apples’ fun filled show for children aged 3-9 year olds (tickets need to be booked via RHS website.)
There are several cafes on site and picnic tables around the garden if you wish to bring your own lunch.
As Wisley have an upper number limit of 55 people for associates group visits, it is advisable to book places early.
Don’t forget, any member of ccfgsoc who is not an RHS member but wishes to visit any RHS garden can borrow our garden society’s membership card and get 30% off entry to the garden.
